Twenty-eight chalets strung along the rim of the Rift Valley about five kilometres from the park gate, each with a private deck over the escarpment and a Victorian bath set for the view.
Escarpment Luxury Lodge sits high on the Rift wall above Lake Manyara, close enough to the northern gate for an early start and far enough up for the long view. Chalets come in luxury, executive and family layouts, with outdoor showers, air-conditioning and decks that catch the birdlife working the forest edge. The Manyara airstrip is around ten minutes away, with the Ngorongoro gate and Tarangire both within a comfortable drive.
