The person who designs your safari runs it
Wildtouch Tours & Travel is led by Jacob Munene, a Nairobi-based Kenyan operator with more than ten years in travel and a reputation as a wildlife expert. Wildtouch is owner-led: when you plan a safari, you are dealing with the founder himself, not a sales desk — and that same person makes sure the trip works on the ground.
From its Nairobi base, Wildtouch covers the classic Kenya safari circuit — the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu, Amboseli — and extends into Tanzania's northern parks and Rwanda's primate forests. Jacob designs each journey around the wildlife, the season and the way you like to travel.
That continuity is the difference. The person who listens to what you want from your safari is the person who shapes the itinerary, briefs the guides and answers the phone. It is how Wildtouch turns a holiday into a story worth telling.

Travelling with Wildtouch
- What kind of safari operator is Wildtouch?
- Wildtouch Tours & Travel is an owner-led East African safari operator based in Nairobi, founded by Jacob Munene. Every safari is tailor-made and you deal directly with the founder and his team — there is no sales desk between you and the people who run your trip.
- Which countries does Wildtouch cover?
- Kenya — the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu, Amboseli, Tsavo, Meru and Laikipia. Tanzania — Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti and Lake Manyara. Rwanda — Volcanoes National Park for mountain gorillas, Nyungwe Forest for chimpanzees, and Akagera. Combined journeys across two or three countries are arranged under a single booking.
- Are your safaris tailor-made?
- Yes. The itineraries on this site are sample journeys to start from. Length, pace, accommodation tier and special-interest add-ons — balloon flights, walking safaris, cultural visits, honeymoon touches — are all shaped around you before anything is confirmed.
- When is the best time to go on safari in East Africa?
- The dry season from June to October offers the strongest all-round wildlife viewing, and is when the wildebeest migration moves through the northern Serengeti and into the Maasai Mara — the dramatic Mara River crossings concentrating from around July to October. December to March is excellent too — the herds gather on the green southern Serengeti plains, with the wildebeest calving from late January to March, and quieter camps. We will advise the best window for the wildlife you most want to see.
- Do you arrange gorilla trekking in Rwanda?
- Yes. Wildtouch handles Rwanda primate trekking, with a specialism in mountain gorilla treks in Volcanoes National Park and chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest. Rwanda combines cleanly with an East African safari for travellers who want both Big Five wildlife and the primates on one trip.
- Are the safaris suitable for families and first-timers?
- Yes. Wildlife viewing is done from a comfortable private 4×4, the pace is set to suit you, and the team has experience hosting first-time travellers, couples and multi-generational families. Tell us who is travelling and we will shape the journey accordingly.
- How do I book, and what about prices?
- Start by sending an enquiry or emailing bookings@wildtouchafrica.com. Jacob will discuss your dates, party and what you want from the safari, then put together a tailored itinerary and a fixed quote. We do not publish package prices because every trip is built individually.
- Where is Wildtouch based?
- Wildtouch is based at Rehani House, 10th Floor, Koinange Street, Nairobi, Kenya — with road and air links to the Kenyan parks, the northern Tanzania gateways at Arusha and Kilimanjaro, and Kigali for onward Rwanda travel.
