Eight tented suites on a private concession in the Burunge Wildlife Management Area, on the corridor between Lake Manyara and Tarangire, where guided walks and night drives are allowed as they are not inside the parks.
Chem Chem Lodge stands on the western edge of a private concession inside the Burunge Wildlife Management Area, which covers around 20,000 hectares of the corridor linking Lake Manyara to Tarangire. Its eight suites, one of them for a family, are built of canvas, wood and stone, lifted off the ground and joined by wooden walkways, facing a waterhole with open plains behind it and Lake Manyara showing far off. Because the land is private, guided walks and night drives sit alongside game drives in both parks.
