A long-established lodge built into the edge of the Ngulia hills, deep inside Tsavo West and a short drive from Mzima Springs and the Rhino Sanctuary. Rooms open onto balconies overlooking the wilderness, and the open-air restaurant looks straight down to a waterhole that draws animals day and night. It is a dependable, good-value base for exploring the park.
