Il Ngwesi is perched dramatically on an escarpment in northern Laikipia, overlooking the Samburu lowlands and the Mathews Range, on a community group ranch that dedicates most of its land to conservation. The open-fronted bandas have hand-carved beds, open-air showers and the option of sleeping under the stars. Game drives, guided bush walks and Maasai cultural visits are at the heart of a stay.
