10-Day Luxury Kenya Fly-In Safari: Amboseli, Lewa & Maasai Mara
A ten-day luxury Kenya fly-in safari from Amboseli's tusker elephants beneath Kilimanjaro, to the exclusive 60,000-acre Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, ending in the Maasai Mara and Naboisho Conservancy for the Great Migration and big-cat country.
About this safari
This ten-day fly-in safari showcases Kenya's premier wildlife sanctuaries with swift bush flights and breathtaking views. It opens in Amboseli National Park, where the giant tusker elephants roam beneath snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. From there you fly to the renowned Lewa Wildlife Conservancy — 60,000 acres of rolling savannah and acacia woodland beneath Mount Kenya, home to maneless lions, thriving rhino populations and the Northern Special Five, where guided walking safaris are part of the experience.
The finale is the Maasai Mara ecosystem, including the private Naboisho Conservancy, celebrated for one of the highest big-cat densities in Africa. Full-day game drives track the Big Five, and from July to October the Great Wildebeest Migration crosses the Mara River. Luxury camps, exclusive conservancies and seamless flights make this one of the most rounded luxury journeys in Kenya.

Questions travellers ask
- What makes Lewa Wildlife Conservancy special?
- Lewa is a 60,000-acre private conservancy and UNESCO World Heritage site beneath Mount Kenya, a pioneer of community-based rhino conservation. It offers low-vehicle game viewing, guided walking safaris, thriving black and white rhino populations, maneless lions and the Northern Special Five — an exclusive, wilder alternative to the busy national parks.
- Can I do walking safaris on this trip?
- Yes. The private conservancies at Lewa and Naboisho permit guided bush walking safaris with armed rangers — an intimate, on-foot way to read the tracks, plants and birdlife of the bush that the main national reserve does not allow. Walks are gentle and optional.
- Why include a private conservancy alongside the Maasai Mara?
- The Naboisho Conservancy caps vehicle numbers and allows off-road driving and walking, giving quieter, more private sightings, while the main Mara Reserve delivers the highest big-cat density and the river crossings. Combining the two gives you the best of both.
