“See what Nairobi has to offer!”
With a thrilling mix of nature within a concrete jungle, breathtaking natural terrains and a rich, longstanding history that cannot be matched by other cities, Nairobi promises to deliver an experience you will not forget.
The adventure begins when our Wildtouch Tours & Travel guide picks you from your hotel at 0530hrs. Our first stop will be at the Nairobi National Park after a 30 minutes’ drive- the only park in the world set in the middle of a city! Beautiful photos of zebras, rhinos or lions in the park with a back drop of the city sky scrapers that are almost dwarfed by the giraffes are just amazing.
The park, established in 1946, is 117 Sq Km, and is home to a variety of game such as lions, buffalos, giraffes, warthogs, crocodiles, hippos, to mention but a few.
After some hours at the park, we shall leave the park at roughly 1000hrs and proceed to the David Sheldrick Elephant & Rhino Orphanage, the orphanage opens for one hour from 1100hrs to 1200hrs every day. Baby elephants rescued from the wild are brought to this orphanage so they can be taken care of. You will get to see them feed and also hear their stories. After maturity, they are released back to the wilderness to meet their families.
After David Sheldrick’s, we shall proceed for lunch, preferably, The Carnivore or The Karen Blixen. The delicious lunch will be followed by a visit to the Giraffe Center, also located within the capital.
Thereafter, we shall head to the giraffe center. The giraffe centre began as a project by a non-profitable organization named Africa Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW), to breed the Rothschild Giraffe-one of the endangered species of giraffes. At the center, you can have fun petting the giraffes. You can even feed and kiss them if you so wish.
Leaving the Giraffe centre will mark the end of our Nairobi Day Tour.
We hope your Nairobi Day Tour with Wildtouch Tours & Travel will be magical and funfilled.
